Vaccines and Preventive Care

Vaccinations and Preventive Care: We tailor each pet's vaccines to their lifestyle and risk factors.  We follow the recommended vaccine schedules of the AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners) and the AVMA (American Veterinary Medicine Association).  Your pet and his or her lifestyle can help us guide you to help keep your pet the healthiest it can be for the longest.  A rabid bat was found at Lake Crescent near Joyce in 2014 so rabies vaccines are essential to prevent serious fatal infection by rabies.  Currently we ascribe to a 3 year schedule after the initial one year rabies vaccine (as required by the state).  Both Clallam county and the state of Washington require all cats and all dogs be current on their rabies vaccines.
